The UK government has shared the coronavirus restrictions message as a LEGO video.
With the UK government having enacted a country-wide lockdown to combat the spread of coronavirus, the official social media channels have shared the message as a LEGO video. It could be inspired by Tyler Walsh adapting Justin Trudeau’s message through the medium of LEGO stop motion.
Opening on the Houses of Parliament, a minifigure spokesperson opens the video, declaring: “This year, the Easter Bunny is asking for a new hero to step up. You, yes, you. Your super powers include staying home, protecting the NHS and saving lives.”
To be a hero, the video suggests having a family movie night, calling a relative, staying two metres apart, washing hands and using a tissue.
“And by staying home, you are helping the NHS continue to be heroes and to save lives too.”
It was announced on Thursday that the LEGO Foundation is donating 30,000 sets to the children of NHS workers and donating £200,000 to UK children’s charities, part of a $50 million package announced a week ago.
