Two more LEGO Spider-Man: No Way Home sets rumoured for 2021

Two more LEGO Spider-Man: No Way Home sets are rumoured to be on the way either later this year or in early 2022.

Instagram user lego_fulcrum reports that the LEGO Group will release a total of five sets for Tom Holland’s third Spider-Man movie, including the three we’ve already seen: 76184 Spider-Man vs. Mysterio’s Drone Attack, 76185 Spider-Man at the Sanctum Workshop and 76195 Spider-Man’s Drone Duel.

That leaves two as-yet-unrevealed sets, which exabrickslegogo_ claims will arrive either later this year or in early 2022. Given two of the three known Spider-Man: No Way Home sets are apparently actually based on Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home – despite Spidey’s new black and gold suit in 76195 Spider-Man’s Drone Duel – it’s not a stretch to assume more sets specifically based on the threequel are in the works.

One reason for their delay beyond the October launch of the other three sets could also be that they’re filled with spoilers, revealing returning villains or characters that Marvel is trying to keep under wraps until the movie lands in December. We already know that Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock will be coming back (courtesy of the first teaser trailer), but other villains – including Jamie Foxx’s Electro – have only been hinted at so far.

If this rumour is true (and remember, it should be taken very lightly until confirmed otherwise by the LEGO Group), we could therefore see brand new versions of minifigures based on Sam Raimi’s original trilogy of Spider-Man movies. It’s an exciting time to be a LEGO Spider-fan.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will arrive in cinemas on December 17, while the three currently-revealed Spidey MCU sets for 2021 will be available to purchase from LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores from October 1.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then. You can follow me on Twitter at @brfa_chris.
