Tiffany & Co. offers Sterling Silver LEGO style pieces

The jewellers Tiffany & Co. is offering shiny, expensive silver LEGO style building blocks for a sophisticated – and expensive – decoration.

While many LEGO imitators seem to be aiming to move in on the company’s market, Tiffany & Co. are selling a building block product that is clearly not for children. Geek.com reports that in the Everyday Objects Collection, the jeweller is offering Sterling Silver Building Blocks for a mere $1,650.

“Tiffany artisans transform utilitarian items into handcrafted works of art,” the product description on the Tiffany & Co.website explains. “This luxurious and unique set of numbered and lettered building blocks is elevated with sterling silver and American walnut.”

The silver blocks are intended as nice display piece rather than to be used for mind blowing builds, but can be stacked in different configurations. For the one price of $1,650, customers receive ten blocks in various sizes. Each block’s stud has a letter or number engraved into it.

Could this be a suitable last minute Christmas gift for the fan who has everything? Or would they rather receive $1,650 worth of actual LEGO bricks?
