The Little Prince project on LEGO Ideas has hit 10,000 supporters, uust in the nick of time, as the Start of the next review phase is this Monday. This project becomes the 9th to hit the 10,000 supporters mark required to go into the review stage on the LEGO Ideas platform.
Here is more information on the project in the words of his creator Colin23: ”It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.” -Saint-Exupery.
“This is my 1st submission to Cuusoo. The Little Prince would make a wonderful Lego set because it is a timeless classic enjoyed by children and adults all over the world. The story was first published 70 years ago, in 1943, and there are over 2 million copies sold each year (with the total over 400 million). It has the world record as the most translated novel in the world (over 280 translations so far – and let’s translate it into LEGO together!). This would make a great gift item for adults and children, and would be something that some of TLG’s bookseller partners (for example, Barnes and Noble) could market as well in conjunction with the book. “All grown ups were once children… but only a few of them remember it” wrote Saint-Exupery, but I think that AFOLs are some of the few that do.”
I think this will be the final one to hit the 10,000 mark unless we get a media buzz on a project over the weekend. with the start of one review stage starting means we should also see the results of the last one. The Litte Prince project joins the following in the the review stage:
