The LEGO Group has only had “very limited disruption” in product supply

Following a statement regarding the LEGO Group’s ongoing production, it has been confirmed that supply of LEGO sets should continue.

Earlier today, the LEGO Group released a statement relating to the supply of products, confirming that factories in Europe and Asia are still operating.

With the impact of coronavirus having led to significant changes in almost every aspect of people’s lives, the LEGO Group has released a statement about their production capabilities. it confirmed that demand for LEGO sets has increased with people stuck at home, leading to some products going out of stock or on backorder at LEGO.com, but that production continues.

It was initially unclear if this meant demand would continue to be met, but clarity has been given to confirm that there has been “very limited disruption” and that products will continue to be available:

So far we have seen very limited disruption to supply and at this stage we continue to be able to supply our retail partners and our ecommerce store on LEGO.com.

Does this mean there will be a shortage of LEGO products?

We have products in distribution centres and warehouses in the US, Canada and South America and are working hard to fulfil orders. We also have a global network of factories and our sites in Europe and Asia are currently operating, so will do all we can to continue to make and deliver the products people most want.

LEGO Stores in the USA are beginning to reopen.
