The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity is delighted that the Big LEGO Brick Hospital has raised £10,000 for charity.
Penketh Group, a company specialising in office interiors, has donated £1,000 towards The Big LEGO Brick Hospital. To acknowledge the donation, a LEGO version of the company’s van has been added to the model.
The Big LEGO Brick Hospital is raising money for the new Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. Each brick added to the build costs £1, which is donated to the charity. The goal is to raise £500,000 for the specialist hospital and to improve existing facilities at the Liverpool hospital.
When complete, the build will measure 1.6m x 2.8m x 1.6m high.
“The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre has been a Penketh Group customer for a number of years now, so it’s a relationship we already value strongly,” Sales Director for Penketh Group, Paul Mann told the Liverpool Echo. “However, to be able to support their incredible charity work outside of that as well is something we really are extremely proud of and pleased to be a part of.
“We look forward to seeing how the new facility continues to develop and can’t wait to see our miniature delivery van on tour.”
Those wishing to keep track of the build’s progress can visit the model at The Royal Albert Dock, and make a contribution at the fundraising website.
