Take your LEGO BrickHeadz Pets into the great outdoors for LEGO Ideas

LEGO Ideas wants you to embrace your inner Attenborough and take your BrickHeadz Pets sets out into the great outdoors for its latest activity.

There’s not really any building to do in this week’s activity, contrary to the usual brief from the LEGO Ideas team. Instead, you’ll need to get your camera out and start snapping your BrickHeadz Pets sets in the wild – but probably not too wild, because there’s still that whole pandemic thing to consider.

It also means this activity is technically only open to fans who have already picked up any one of the four BrickHeadz Pets sets – 40440 German Shepherd, 40441 Shorthair Cats, 40442 Goldfish or 40443 Budgie – which feels like an unusual stipulation for something that’s typically accessible no matter how many (or few) bricks you have.

Not to worry, though: we’re sure the Ideas team will be back with another activity next week, and hopefully one that doesn’t require purchasing specific sets to take part in. If you do have any of the BrickHeadz Pets sets and fancy giving it a go, you can head over to the activity page to find all the details, and check out all the entries so far.

You’ve got until March 23 at 9am UK time to submit your shots. Last week’s LEGO Ideas activity asked fans to get into the holiday spirit with brick-built Easter eggs. You can browse through all the entries for that one right here.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then. You can follow me on Twitter at @brfa_chris.
