Built by Ferrari for use in endurance racing, the Ferrari 488 GTE was introduced back in 2016. The car currently competes in a variety of racing events, including the European Le Mans series. It uses a V8 turbo engine, carbon fibre bodywork and an aluminium chassis to reach the highest possible speeds.
The LEGO version of the car is about ten times smaller than the original and replicates its shaping and mechanical detail, whilst also boasting some interesting parts usage. A number of newly-introduced Technic elements can be found in the set, while headlights are formed via a pair of heavily printed windshield elements.
On the feature front the car comes with working suspension, moving engine pistons and a functional steering wheel. You can also open the doors to get a peek at the interior.
