Rumoured price list for LEGO Star Wars summer 2021 sets

A list of rumoured prices for this summer’s LEGO Star Wars sets has appeared online, suggesting things are about to get very expensive.

According to Zusammengebaut, nine new sets are apparently on the way in the second half of 2021, with three direct-to-consumer (D2C) releases among them. The LEGO Star Wars theme usually enjoys two D2C releases per year – one in May, and one in September/October – so if true, this would mark a step up for one of the LEGO Group’s most popular lines.

The identity of those three D2C sets will remain a mystery until the LEGO Group confirms their existence, but rumours suggest they’ll include the long-awaited Republic Gunship and a new 11,000-piece Death Star, ringing in at $349.99 and $799.99 respectively. The third will reportedly be a little easier on the wallet at $199.99.

The presence of an advent calendar will be a surprise to nobody – they’ve arrived every year since 2011 – but there’s a serious lack of cheaper sets there, which doesn’t bode well for battle pack fans. The longstanding pocket money-priced sets were absent from the January 2021 wave, and unless they adapt the form of 75280 501st Legion Clone Troopers for 75310, it doesn’t look like there’s much room for them in this list, either.

While these sets are all rumoured to launch in the second half of 2021, don’t be surprised to see at least one of the D2C releases arrive around May the Fourth, as has been standard for the LEGO Star Wars theme for years now.
