A new LEGO play area has been opened by Merlin Entertainments at a Canadian school for children with additional needs.
On January 31, Silver Creek Pre-School in Etobicoke, Toronto, Canada enjoyed the opening of a special themed LEGO DUPLO play space as part of the Merlin Magic Space scheme. Toronto website reports that Merlin Entertainments, the company behind the LEGOLAND theme parks and the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre, provided the new area to support children with additional needs.
Emmet arrived to share the new area with the children for the first time, revealing a LEGO play area that includes a slide, swing and lots of bricks.
“Our Magic Space project at Silver Creek Pre-School was the creation of a new activity room that is DUPLO/LEGO inspired on behalf of Merlin’s Magic Wand to provide children with the opportunity to experience the unique magic of Merlin,” organisers said in a statement.
Merlin Magic Spaces transforms play areas, waiting rooms, sensory gardens, accessible bathrooms, and treatment areas into Merlin-themed areas. In this case, the intention was to bring a LEGO experience to children who may not otherwise be able to experience a LEGOLAND attraction.
