LEGO Botanical Collection 2022 sets available to pre-order now

Both of the newly-revealed LEGO Botanical Collection sets are now available to pre-order online in the US, but only one can be pre-ordered in the UK and Europe.

Those of us east of the Atlantic will have to wait until release day proper – that’s May 1 – to place an order for 10309 Succulents, because only 10311 Orchid is currently available to pre-order on this side of the pond. Fans in the US, however, can already snap up both of the new sets of buildable plants, which have just been officially unveiled by the LEGO Group.

Each of the two new additions to the Creator Expert theme’s Botanical Collection rings in at £44.99 in the UK, $49.99 in the US and €49.99 in Europe, matching the price tags of the first two sets, 10280 Flower Bouquet and 10281 Bonsai Tree. That suggests this particular price point may be more effective for the theme than the inflated cost of 10289 Bird of Paradise, which joined the collection last summer.

You’ll find more images of and details on both 10309 Succulents and 10311 Orchid – including input from the designers responsible for bringing them to shelves – by clicking here. Our reviews of the brand new botanical sets will be online tomorrow, so keep an eye on Brick Fanatics for our verdict on both of these brick-built plants.

In the meantime, consider supporting the work that we do by pre-ordering your copies of 10309 Succulents and 10311 Orchid using our affiliate links. Thank you!

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then. You can follow me on Twitter at @brfa_chris.
