The Mandalorian’s new ride can now be bought in a new LEGO set, courtesy of the LEGO Star Wars line.
Following the events of The Mandalorian’s second season, Din Djarin requires a replacement for the Razor Crest – his beloved starship, whose ultimate fate is something of a spoiler. During The Book of Boba Fett, mechanic friend Peli Motto persuades him to use a different ship: specifically, an N-1 starfighter from Star Wars’ prequel era.
While the prequels themselves are – shall we say – divisive, it’s hard to fault the visual splendour of the trilogy’s planets and vehicles. With its clean lines and bright colour scheme, the N-1 starfighter remains a design highlight of that period. This new version is a little larger than past LEGO models, offering more exposed mechanical detail and a more subdued colour scheme.
It’s also got additional passenger space, which is appropriate considering the minifigure selection. The Mandalorian and Grogu appear in this set, alongside Peli Motto and a BD droid. These are new to the LEGO Star Wars theme, and should make a desirable LEGO set even more so. Din Djarin himself even comes with a printed minifigure head, with a new, more accurate skin tone.
Considering how many custom starfighters this vehicle inspired, an official LEGO version will likely be very popular. If you had the foresight to pre-order this set, you’ll have it in your hands before too long. If you didn’t, now is probably the time to pick it up; we suspect it’ll be in high demand over the months ahead.
