Next month’s LEGO Star Wars magazine includes a free TIE Interceptor

The LEGO Star Wars magazine is continuing its crusade to build underrepresented ships from a galaxy far, far away with a free TIE Interceptor.

Issue 67 of Immediate Media’s monthly mag arrives on January 13, and will come complete with a mini version of the TIE Interceptor. We haven’t seen a minifigure-scale version of the ship since 2006, when LEGO TIEs were still flimsy blue things.

Plenty of regular TIEs have come and gone in the meantime, leading up to 2021’s 75300 Imperial TIE Fighter. The waiting game for a new Interceptor continues, however – so it’s up to the LEGO Star Wars magazine to fill the gap, even if it is just with a mini model.

The 42-piece build looks to capture all four pointed wings of the Interceptor with great accuracy, which is always impressive in a model of this size. We’ll know for sure once our copy arrives in the new year. In the meantime, Issue 66 is available now, and comes with two free gifts – including Obi-Wan’s Jedi Interceptor, a ship we haven’t seen since 2016.

You can take a closer look at that model (and the second gift) here, or peek inside Issue 66 here.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then. You can follow me on Twitter at @brfa_chris.
