More details have emerged on the rumoured LEGO Creator Expert rendition of Barcelona’s football stadium, including a potential price tag.
Promobricks reports that Camp Nou will carry the set number 10284, following on directly from 10283 NASA Space Shuttle Discovery. Where the general order of Creator Expert product numbers once flowed chronologically, though, 2021 has seemingly abandoned that format entirely.
Case in point, 10295 Porsche 911 launched all the way back in February for VIPs, months ahead of even 10282, which is currently rumoured to be a buildable Adidas trainer. And that means 10284 Camp Nou’s reported set number is no indication of when it will arrive on shelves.
We do at least have some idea of how much we’ll need to pay to bring home the first follow-up to 2020’s 10272 Old Trafford, though. According to Promobricks, the set will retail for $349.99, which is exactly $50 more than last year’s Manchester United-inspired model.
There’s not much else to go on at the moment, but it’s safe to assume the home of Barcelona football club – which is the biggest stadium in Europe, and the fourth-largest football ground in the world – will be recreated in microscale, following the path laid out by 10272 Old Trafford, and will reuse that set’s printed pitch pieces.
For now, 10284 Camp Nou’s very existence – and any and all details surrounding it – are simply a rumour, so don’t put too much faith in them. At least until the LEGO Group confirms otherwise…
