Lepin now copying LEGO Ghostbusters HQ
Premium bootleg company Lepin have no morals not only do they continue to bootleg all the retail sets but now they are attacking the exclusive sets produced by LEGO. Now for those who think LEGO is expensive then this may be seen as an option but in my view it only damages the LEGO brand.

Customize Minifigures Intelligence have gotten hold of a set and have posted photos and a brief lowdown of the set, LEGO legal team are on the case but you can understand why LEGO try and keep leaks from happening as it gives the bootleg companies chance to rip off the LEGO designs. Problem is Lepin is improving their own quality so getting hard to tell the difference. Take a look at the photos
Here is what Customize Minifigures Intelligence said: “LEGO is not going to be happy about this. Lego 75827 Firehouse Headquarters had a knockoff version and it’s very well done! . First up, the box weighted almost 7 kg. Considering there are whopping 4600++ pieces in two white boxes, and 82 plastic bags. Lepin sorted the bricks based on the length and types into respective bags. So just put the parts into different containers and it would be easier to find them later. Second, the printing on the instruction manual needed improvement. Sometime it’s hard to figure out which colors when building in late hours with sore fingers and tiring eyes. Third, the minifigures had different hair pieces to the original. Printing on minifigures are quite detail though, especially the arm part. Apology to those who read on mobile phone for the large numbers of photos. You could get the set at Aliexpress”

I was looking out of curiosity factory of fakes. How is it possible that a company fighting with the LEGO leaves no mark behind? Typing Lepine is not possible to find exactly who it produces! Does anyone know?; / Where is the factory of his name? Web page? it s ridiculous …
Just saying, there is one way to make sure what you have is actually Lego: Look at the studs on one of your bricks, they should say LEGO in small letters, another thing, though the quality is improving fast, they’re still not as good and I, with a lot of Lego experience and a whole 2 shelves devoted to Lego, will always stay with Lego, not these cheap imitators.
I hadn’t considered the effect on 3rd parties. You’d think Lego would be keen to protect their IPs unless they’ve come to realise that it’s pointless fighting the Chinese when it comes to this kind of thing. Still, turning a blind eye to a problem like this cannot be good for their business. I wonder at their lack of response…
Buyer beware. Lego will say buy it from the store if you want to guarantee authenticity.
If LEGO weree really that bothered they could very simply have all if the fakes remived from eBay within minutes but i take it they really don’t care a lot of the time but say they do!
There are hundreds of sellers of fake stuff on eBay and they don’t bother to do anything about it. I have personally reported several and months later they are still there so that was a waste of time!
I hate ghe fact that these fakes are being produced as it makes people question everything and also stops people from buyin from 3rd parties like usjust in case.
Cheeky buggers! I hope Lego move on this quickly.
