The LEGO Group has added to their catalogue of Build & Talk activities, designed to educate children about online safety.
The Online Privacy and Safe Sharing adventure is a story-based set of activities. Children work together with parents or guardians to create an imaginary LEGO creature. The adult reads a story out loud that educated them about safe passwords and what not to share online.
The tasks are available to play online, on a tablet, mobile phone, or computer. The younger participants are encouraged to use LEGO bricks to form their creature. Throughout the process, prompts appear about key topics to do with internet safety.
The LEGO Group first launched Build & Talk challenges back in 2020. In a LinkedIn post, the company said that these most recent updates are because parents find it hard to start discussions with their kids about how to stay safe offline.
You can find the full collection of Build & Talk resources here, or head straight to the most recent additions by clicking here. All of the activities are designed to suit young children who are taking their first steps into the digital world.
