LEGO WALL·E head modification by Chris McVeigh
This is the first of two WALL·E inspired articles to take you through Sunday. We all know by now this model while proving popular has it’s issues with the neck/head. Well luckily for us Chris McVeigh has not only come up with a very easy solution he has posted clear instructions along with the elements you require.
To make the modifications you will need the following elements 4289258 Beam 2M W. Ball ظ 10.2 and 4524353 Brick 2X2 W. Cup For Ball. This will allow the head to rotate and fully swing while being able to stay in it’s intended place.
Above is a quick build image of what Chris has come up with but there is a more detailed PDF file found on his website which you can view by clicking here. This PDF is highly detailed and gives you full list of LEGO elements required to make the modifications. For more awesome stuff from Chris please check out his website.

I’ve still not built mine yet, just been sitting in the box for weeks, is this really a big issue, or is it something I don’t really need to fix? I’m literally going to build it and then Wall-e will live the rest of his days in my office at home. I just can’t tell whether I should be looking for the parts to fix it or not.
To be honest not built mine yet so can’t really comment I think it’s down to each person to judge. Personally mine will stay as per the instructions. Unless I decide to add power functions. 🙂
