A new mobile game has seen the LEGO Group collaborate with NimbleBit to develop LEGO Tower.
The LEGO Group has partnered with NimbleBit to create a “brand new mobile experience”. With NimbleBit having produced the Tiny Tower game, the same formula is being applied to LEGO Tower.
“Having the opportunity to build upon one of our signature games inside the world LEGO is a dream come true for us,” says David Marsh, co-founder of NimbleBit. “The building blocks of LEGO are a complete creative match for our style of games. It’s sparked a lot of the feelings of creativity and joy we’ve experienced ourselves while playing with LEGO since we were young.”
In the game, players will be able to construct and then run their own LEGO Tower. Apartments, businesses, police stations, fire stations and ninja training hide-outs will be just some of the options for gamers. While playing, fans will collect hundreds of digital minifigure pieces and unlock characters.
LEGO Ideas will launch a contest next week, with winners getting their creation included in the mobile game.
LEGO Towers will launch summer 2019.
