LEGO Super Mario sets available to pre-order imminently

Any time now, the new LEGO Super Mario sets are expected to be made available to pre-order, with at least 71360 Adventures with Mario Starter Course, 71369 Bowser’s Castle Boss Battle Expansion Set and 71366 Piranha Plant Power Slide Expansion Set likely to pop up.

The LEGO Group’s latest LEGO Super Mario press release, shared with Nintendo websites such as GoNintendo, reveals that the sets should be available to pre-order now. That suggests that there has been a delay at LEGO.com, but they should be available to order soon, ahead of the August 1 launch date.

Seven things about LEGO Super Mario

71360 Adventures with Mario Starter Course will be priced at $59.99, 71366 Piranha Plant Power Slide Expansion Set will be priced at $29.99 and 71369 Bowser’s Castle Boss Battle Expansion Set will be priced at $59.99.

In order for any of the sets to work, fans will first need 71360 Adventures with Mario Starter Course, which includes the interactive Super Mario figure that gets the game going and collects virtual coins as he moves around the constructed platforms.

“We were thrilled to see the global reaction to news of LEGO Super Mario,” says Jonathan Bennink, LEGO Digital Design Lead on LEGO Super Mario. “Fans have been keen to learn more, so I am pleased that today we were able to reveal more details about this exciting new collaboration that has led to a reimagination of the LEGO building experience and an entirely new way to play inspired by the beloved video game icon, Super Mario.”
