LEGO Star Wars Rogue One sets retiring soon
The first wave of LEGO sets based on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be retiring before the end of 2017.
LEGO Star Wars designer Hans Burkhard Schlömer has revealed in comments at Brickset, highlighted by Rebelscum, that the Rogue One sets released just a year ago will be retiring before the end of this year. It means that fans looking to pick up the sets should do so quickly, before they disappear for good.
The designer posted:
Make sure you are not missing out on sets that have already been made, as the first wave of Rogue One is going to retire with the end of 2017 – including my TIE Striker and Krennic’s shuttle
The sets in the LEGO Star Wars Rogue One launch wave are:
75122 Imperial Assault Hovertank
75156 Krennic’s Imperial Shuttle
The accelerated retirement time frame suggests that with annual onslaught of LEGO Star Wars, sets are no longer going to have the same shelf life that they have in previous years.
The LEGO sets for Star Wars: The Last Jedi will launch on September 1. Star Wars: The Last Jedi is due for release on December 14 in the UK and December 15 in the USA.
