LEGO Star Wars Resistance build: 75242 Black Ace TIE Interceptor
The May the Fourth weekend continues with a mini build inspired by 75242 Black Ace TIE Interceptor from Star Wars Resistance
For the first time, the LEGO Star Wars theme has delved into the Resistance animated television series. They are a bit too big for having on a desk – so Brick Fanatics is here with a minature version of75242 Black Ace TIE Interceptor that fits into a smaller space.
75242 Black Ace TIE Interceptor
When I first saw the pictures of 75242 Black Ace TIE Interceptor I had two thoughts; firstly ‘that’s not a TIE Interceptor (this is)’; secondly ‘that is one weird looking spaceship’. Having seen the ship in action in Star Wars Resistance where it is used predominantly as a racer and been up close with the minifigure scale 75242 Black Ace TIE Interceptor, I have to admit the unique styling has certainly grown on me.
Getting the shaping right did prove to be quite tricky but I think the final design is pretty close to the ship seen on screen.
With a few modifications this design could quite easily be transformed into a TIE Striker.
