Next month’s LEGO Star Wars magazine includes a free Mandalorian set

The next issue of the official LEGO Star Wars magazine includes a mini-model based on a set from Star Wars: The Mandalorian.

75254 AT-ST Raider was the first LEGO product based on the hit Disney+ show to land on shelves, and takes inspiration from Chapter 4: Sanctuary, in which Mando and Cara Dune help to defend a village from Klatooinian raiders.

The vehicle sits distinct from previous AT-STs by virtue of its brown highlights and red leg, which are both represented in the foil-bagged freebie attached to Issue 75 of the LEGO Star Wars magazine. The identity of the next model comes courtesy of Hoth Bricks, by way of the French edition.

Issue 74 – which includes a free Sith Trooper and one bonus toy – has just arrived on shelves, which means you can expect to get your hands on the 53-piece AT-ST Raider in September in the UK. Given it’s just the one freebie, the cover price should go back down to £3.99 from the inflated £5.99 for this month’s double-gift issue.

The original 75254 AT-ST Raider is still available at LEGO.com, although it’s slated to retire by the end of 2021. Plenty more Mando sets have also just hit shelves as part of the summer wave, including 75311 Imperial Armored Marauder, 75312 Boba Fett’s Starship and 75315 Imperial Light Cruiser.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then. You can follow me on Twitter at @brfa_chris.
