The LEGO Star Wars Fans group on Facebook is offering unique prizes in a competition that is raising money for charity.
The ‘Merry Sithmas 2019’ charity drive has been arranged by LEGO Star Wars Fans group on Facebook to raise money for the Aflac Children’s Cancer & Blood Disorders Center, Atlanta, USA. To encourage entrants, three sets of specially printed minifigures – each including Royal guard Santa and Rebel Pilot Elf – are up for grabs.
Donations can be made in cash or in LEGO sets, with details of where to send them available on the dedicated Facebook page. For every $5 value donated, contributors get one entry into the prize draw. Three winners will be drawn at random.
Last year, the group raised $3,700 for the Aflac Children’s Cancer & Blood Disorders Center, with costumed characters accompanying the donation of sets and money to the facility. This fundraising initiative has become an annual tradition at the LEGO Star Wars Fans group, after the community came together to support a member who was diagnosed with a serious illness.
Details about this year’s cause are available at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center website.
