Lucasfilm has announced that Star Wars: Episode IX has been pushed back from May 2019 to December 2019, suggesting that the LEGO sets will be released September 2019.
With J.J. Abrams announced as the new director of Star Wars: Episode IX, replacing Colin Trevorrow, the film’s release date has been pushed back from May 2019 to December 2019. Based on the product launches for The Force Awakens, Rogue One and The Last Jedi, the LEGO sets tied to the film are now expected to launch September 2019.
As part of the message released on starwars.com, the new release date was quietly mentioned:
Star Wars: Episode IX is scheduled for release on December 20, 2019.
