LEGO.com will be offering discounts of up to 20% on selected sets across the Black Friday period.
The annual shopping event is almost upon us, and we’ve known about the majority of LEGO.com’s offers for a while. For example, a £150 / $150 spend will net you a free 40410 Charles Dickens Tribute set worth £20.99 / $20.99. You’ll also have the chance to win a cool 1 million VIP points, and exclusive VIP rewards will launch throughout the weekend.
Now, though, the LEGO Group has updated its Black Friday splash page on LEGO.com – and revealed that selected sets will also enjoy a 20% discount. That’s not quite on the same level as last year, which saw plenty of sets marked down by as much as 30%.
But the LEGO Group has been doing very well out of lockdown. Case in point: most of Brick Fanatics’ Top 20 LEGO Sets List is on backorder. While Black Friday is now part of the shopping calendar, the company may feel it doesn’t need to do too much to entice shoppers.
Exactly which sets will receive the 20% discount is yet to be revealed. It definitely won’t be a blanket reduction, given the promo refers to ‘selected items’. But we can at least hope that some meatier LEGO exclusives will come in a little bit cheaper, like 71040 The Disney Castle, 10261 Roller Coaster or 10255 Assembly Square.
LEGO.com’s Black Friday event kicks off on Friday, November 27, and runs through Monday, November 30. To stay up to date on all the LEGO Black Friday offers for 2020, head to our dedicated shopping pages. Some offers from other retailers are already live.
