LEGO MASTERS USA takes over the Fox Studios Lot

Ahead of its premier on Fox next week, LEGO MASTERS has taken over the studio to ensure no-one is unaware that the show is on the way.

LEGO MASTERS is getting a US edition, set to premiere on February 5 on Fox. To celebrate the imminent launch of the brick-building competition, the Fox Studios Lot has had a LEGO conversion, the Hollywood Reporter reports. An AR app has also launched yesterday to promote the series.

Until February 9, the Fox Studios gate letters will have a LEGO vibe while the Fox logo will remain entirely built from blue bricks. Billboards for Fox shows, including The Masjed Singer, Deputy and 911: Lone Star have all been given a LEGO makeover.

“The beauty of working with an iconic brand like Lego is that it is beloved and identifiable to people of all ages,” Fox Executive Vice President of Marketing Darren Schillace told The Hollywood Reporter. “By transforming the facade of Fox’s studio gate into one big Lego build, we engage passersby here in Los Angeles in an unmissable way.  We even alerted the local tour companies that drive by the lot to explain why we’re covered in L.”

LEGO MASTERS USA will be hosted by Will Arnett with Jamie Berard and Amy Corbett judging the competitors. Brick-building duos will face challenging LEGO tasks to complete, with teams knocked out until a grand final, when a pair of fans will earn the title of LEGO MASTERS.

Tuesday was a huge day of announcements from the LEGO Group, with the company revealing DOTS, Technic Fast & Furious, Technic Lamborghini, Friends summer releases, Creator summer releases, City summer releases, Technic summer releases, Marvel Super Heroes 76165 Iron Man Bust and Architecture 21054 The White House.
