LEGO MASTERS Australia Season 2 gets a green light

A second season of LEGO MASTERS Australia has been commissioned, promising more brick building competition next year.

LEGO MASTERS Australia has proven a ratings smash in Australia, where the series debuted with the biggest audience so far this year for a launch episode. The average audience for each episode has been 2.216 million, TV Black Box reports. As a result, it has been announced that the show will be back for a second season.

Even the judge, LEGO Certified Professional Ryan McNaught, was sceptical at first, but was won over by the concept. “When someone says to you, ‘Hey, let’s make a Reality TV show’, you don’t necessarily have the best thoughts in your mind, do you? You sort of think, ‘Oh, it’ll be a bit trashy,” he told the website. “But this show is the opposite. It’s this really positive, fun, great thing that’s a very different experience.”

LEGO Masters is wholesome viewing that appeals to the entire family, and we’re thrilled that it has been so warmly embraced by Australian viewers. The show boasts a great array of characters, the likes of which we haven’t seen on other programs,” said Michael Healy, Director of Television for NINE.
