LEGO Ideas second 2021 review results coming tomorrow

The LEGO Ideas team will reveal the results of its second 2021 review tomorrow, with 34 projects in contention to become an official set.

We’ll find out exactly which (if any) of those concepts have made the cut at 8am UK time tomorrow, February 22. In the running this round are the usual mix of licensed projects, original ideas and builds inspired by previous or current LEGO sets.

That includes a playable mini golf course in the vein of 21305 Maze, modular buildings like The Costume Store and Brick Walk, and a fortress that’s clearly taking its cues from both classic Pirates sets and 21332 Pirates of Barracuda Bay.

Potential licensed sets that could come from this review, meanwhile, include Jaws, Spaceballs, The A-Team and Knight Rider. The LEGO Ideas theme has never been one to shy away from retro IPs, so any one of those could theoretically fit the bill for a future product.

Check back withBrick Fanaticstomorrow to find out which projects have joined the shortlist of Ideas sets currently in production. In the meantime, take a look through all 34 designs below, and let us know in the comments which you’re hoping to see approved.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then. You can follow me on Twitter at @brfa_chris.
