It’s Easter Sunday and I’ve just got back from a nice windy 16 mile run. As one would expect there ain’t no news so I decided to feature an Ideas project that Jonas Kovacs told us about via email and Facebook. For one it was a project that was brought to our attention that wasn’t based on a third part IP. The renders of the project makes this really sell the concept and make it stand out from the others.
Here is what Jonas said to us when pitching it to us:
I’m Jonas, a fan of LEGO for about 12-13 year now. It’s a LEGO Factory playset, it looks like the LEGO Headquarters in Billund, Denmark and it’s interior is fully detailed. It has 3 rooms: an entrance, a designer’s office and a factory area with silos and a working moulding machine!
With this model, you can learn the LEGO design and production process and then play it with your minifigures! (But I think it works good as a display model too.)
So let’s see what is in my set:
The main building that looks like the LEGO HQ in Billund
A sign board with the LEGO logo and address
Bicycle stand – Don’t pollute the environment!
A Danish flag – because LEGO is from Denmark
Design Studio – of course with those drawers full of LEGO pieces!
Reception
Factory room – with a moulding machine (and it’s working! You can push and pull a little handle on the back of the machine, and the mold is moving inside.)
Silos
Model built on Mecabricks – Beautiful renders are from Gabriele Zannotti aka Zanna. For bigger and better images visit this album. To vote and support this project click here.
