LEGO Hidden Side sets unveiled at New York Toy Fair

A first look at the new LEGO Hidden Side sets, that will be released in August, was provided at New York Toy Fair.

Fans can see images of the new LEGO Hidden Side sets after their unveiling at New York Toy Fair. This spooky new theme has intrigued older fans thanks to a dose of nostalgia and the paranormal, while planning to hook children with an AR app.

Hidden Side was announced a few days ago, along with the set names. Now, thanks to Zusammengebaut, fans can get a look at what some of these sets will look like.

The smallest set in the theme is 70418 Lab, which uses 174 pieces and will be priced at $19.99.

70420 Graveyard uses 335 pieces and is priced at $29.99.

70422 Diner uses 579 pieces and will retail for $49.99.

70424 Train is a 698 piece set, that will be priced at $89.99.

70425 High School will be the largest set in the theme, with 1474 pieces and a $129.99 price tag.

This new LEGO theme is going to demonstrate what LEGO CEO Niels B. Christiansen has been trying to articulate, that new products will attempt to combine physical and digital play.

“Our years of experience pioneering the convergence of technology and physical play have taught us that kids expect exciting play experiences that move seamlessly between physical and digital worlds – something we call fluid play,” said Tom Donaldson, Senior Vice President, LEGO Creative Play Lab in a statement announcing the new theme.
