Two LEGO Certified Store events in China saw AFOLs and bikers build together to celebrate the launch of LEGO Creator Expert 10269 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy.
LEGO Creator Expert 10269 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy (review) is the latest model in the popular advanced building theme and AFOLs in China recently had the opportunity to participate in a unique event to celebrate its launch. The events took place at LEGO Stores in Shanghai and Wuhan.
Members of the HOG (Harley Owners Group) joined AFOLs in Shanghai for the event, turning up on their Harleys. AFOLs brought along motorcycle builds to display, which was a talking point for the two groups, as they shared stories of unique experiences such as “Harley babe and ride trips.”
“If there’s anything in common between the two communities, it is definitely the hands-on customisation. A HOG representative said to the AFOLs, ‘you can never find two identical Harley Davison motorcycle on the road’,” explained the LEGO Group’s Jackie Chen in a blog post.
The builders and bikers came together on an activity to customise LEGO Creator Expert 10269 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy in two groups. One group built a bicycle, one built a motorcycle with sidecar.
Instructions were recently shared online that reveal how to build a mini version of the new set.
