LEGO Gingerbread Man Minifigure Ornament review

The latest LEGO range from Hallmark Keepsake features the festive Gingerbread Man as an upscaled Christmas decoration.

Each year, Hallmark releases a selection of new officially licensed LEGO Christmas decorations as part of the Keepsake collection. This year sees five new releases, four of which are based on IPs that the LEGO Group work with, and one that is genuinely Christmassy – the Gingerbread Man.

The decoration is not based on the LEGO character from 10267 Gingerbread House, but is based on 71002 Gingerbread Man from Collectible Minifigures Series 11.

Gingerbread Man has become an iconic Christmas minifigure for the LEGO brand since the character was introduced. This upscaled version captures the scale and proportions precisely, upscaling the minifigure to make for a larger decoration that will actually be visible on the Christmas tree.

Like all of the LEGO ornaments from Hallmark, the minifigure is a single sculpted piece and featrues no articulation. The ‘dunk me!’ mug is fixed into the hand and is not removable. Despite it being made of plastic, it feels like a proper Christmas decoration and looks a bit more crafted than some other upscaled minifigure products, such as the key lights.

Of this year’s LEGO selection from Hallmark, Gingerbread Man is by far the most festive. Fans who love their Christmas decorations to be LEGO themed should definitely add this ornament to their collection.
