LEGO Certified Store in Russia sells discontinued Technic 42113 Bell Boeing Osprey

Russian fans can buy the ‘cancelled’ LEGO Technic 42113 Bell Boeing Osprey set from a LEGO Certified Store – but for double the originally intended retail price.

A LEGO Certified Store in Russia – that means a retailer that has a special relationship with the LEGO Group, permitted to run official stores in that country – is selling the ‘cancelled’ LEGO Technic 42113 Bell Boeing Osprey set.

What makes it frustrating for fans in Russia is that the store has doubled the price of the set, charging 25,000 rubles, rather than the 12,500 rubles expected. The information has been shared by a LEGO community representative on the LEGO Ambassador Network.

After an initial flurry of LEGO Technic 42113 Bell Boeing Osprey sets selling for more than £1,000, the aftermarket value has come down to a price that’s a little closer to its originally intend RRP. The price has settled at around £600 on ebay in the UK.

The set was due to launch on August 1, until the LEGO Group annoucned its ‘cancellation’. Thousands of sets were then sold and continued to be sold one week into August, despite the claim that only a few places would sell the product.
