LEGO Black Friday discounts

Black Friday is often headlined at LEGO.com by a range of discounts across the entire portfolio of LEGO sets, including retiring and direct-to-consumer products. Last year saw 20% slashed off 75244 Tantive IV, 10220 Volkswagen T1 Camper Van and 853967 Wooden Minifigure, all of which have since retired from production.

This year will see discounts on selected sets, and while a final list is yet to be revealed, it could include products due to leave shelves in 2021 – making these Black Friday LEGO deals the perfect opportunity to work through your wish list before it’s too late.

LEGO gifts-with-purchase

There are two gifts-with-purchase on offer online across Black Friday in 2021. The first is 40483 Luke Skywalker’s Lightsaber, a buildable version of the iconic legacy hilt to match Yoda’s Lightsaber from 2020. You’ll only be able to get that by purchasing 75313 AT-AT, and it’s likely to sell out very quickly, so make sure you’re on the button at midnight in your local time zone if you want to have the best shot of grabbing it.

Also available throughout the Black Friday weekend will be 40484 Santa’s Front Yard, which was originally given away across LEGO VIP Weekend with qualifying purchases. The spend threshold remains the same for Black Friday at £170 / $170 / €170, and that can be across any and all LEGO sets, so picking up 75313 AT-AT alone will qualify for both of this year’s freebies.

If you’re shopping in-store, you’ll also net 30576 Holiday Tree with any purchases above £40 / $40 / €40.

LEGO VIP Rewards sale

The LEGO Group will be offering a sale in the VIP Rewards Centre, with art prints and activity books available at discounted prices. It’s also promising ‘one-day “doorbusters”‘, which is likely to be discounted rewards vouchers based on its Cyber Monday ‘doorbuster’.

LEGO VIP sweepstakes

The LEGO Group will be running two VIP sweepstakes across Black Friday in 2021. The first is for a 55cm-tall Bonsai Tree sculpture, taking a supersized approach to this year’s Botanical Collection 10281 Bonsai Tree. The second is for a cool 1,000,000 VIP points, which is equivalent to a whopping £6,250 / $7,692 / €6,667 in rewards vouchers. That’s a lot of copies of 75313 AT-AT…

Rare LEGO gifts-with-purchase and promotional products

The LEGO Group usually comes through with special gifts-with-purchase and promotional sets as part of their Black Friday LEGO deals. These are typically given away for free with qualifying orders, but are only available in limited quantities – offering an even better incentive to shop at LEGO.com over the Black Friday period.

Retiring LEGO sets Black Friday deals

Dozens of LEGO sets will be leaving shelves by the end of the year, across a huge number of themes. Click here for our latest rundown of every LEGO set retiring in 2021, any and all of which could feasibly receive substantial discounts for Black Friday. The LEGO Group has previously offered Black Friday deals on retiring LEGO sets including 75244 Tantive IV and 10220 Volkswagen T1 Camper Van, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see it take the same approach in 2021.

LEGO price rises in 2022

The LEGO Group has confirmed that the prices of some sets will ‘go down or up’ in early 2022 as it makes RRPs consistent across Western European countries. While it hasn’t provided a list of the sets affected, a rumoured rundown includes 75255 Yoda and 31109 Pirate Ship. If you’re reading this from Western Europe, Black Friday could be one of your last opportunities to pick up those sets without paying over the odds.

You’ll be able to pick up your own copy of 75313 AT-AT from November 26. For those playing along at home, that’s Black Friday – but don’t expect any day-one discounts. Instead, early adopters will bag a free 40483 Luke Skywalker’s Lightsaber.

LEGO for Adults Black Friday deals / LEGO Creator Expert Black Friday deals

The LEGO Group’s new range of black-boxed LEGO for Adults sets (formerly known as LEGO Creator Expert) could be up for some great discounts across Black Friday. Retiring sets including 10264 Corner Garage and 10261 Roller Coaster have already disappeared from LEGO.com in most regions, but they could see discounts where they’re still available.

Elsewhere, LEGO Creator Expert cars including 10265 Ford Mustang or 10271 Fiat 500 could be great choices for Black Friday deals. But given most LEGO for Adults or LEGO Creator Expert sets are only available at LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores – and therefore won’t see discounts elsewhere – the opportunity to grab 40484 Santa’s Front Yard should be reason enough to aim for anything on your wish list, regardless of any immediate saving.

LEGO Ideas Black Friday deals

A number of LEGO Ideas sets are due to retire by the end of 2021, including 21322 Pirates of Barracuda Bay, 21320 Dinosaur Fossils and 92177 Ship in a Bottle.
