Another new LEGO Batman set based on The Dark Knight has been revealed in 76239 Batmobile Tumbler Scarecrow Showdown.
Japanese retailer Yodobashi published the first images of the 422-piece set overnight, before Amazon US briefly listed the minifigure-scale vehicle for pre-order. It’s still up at Yodobashi at the time of writing, but appears to have been taken down from Amazon.
Launching on October 1 – a month ahead of the supersized version of the same vehicle in 76240 Batmobile Tumbler – 76239 Batmobile Tumbler Scarecrow Showdown includes the Christopher Nolan trilogy’s take on both Batman and the Scarecrow, marking a first minifigure appearance for this version of the fear-inducing villain.
It’s the third iteration of the Tumbler at minifigure-scale, meanwhile, following 2008’s 7888 The Tumbler: Joker’s Ice Cream Surprise and 2013’s 76001 The Bat vs. Bane: Tumbler Chase. And at first glance, it also looks to be the most accurate yet to the 2008 movie.
According to Amazon, 76239 Batmobile Tumbler Scarecrow Showdown will retail for $39.99 in the US, so expect a price tag of £34.99 in the UK and €39.99 across Europe. A full reveal from the LEGO Group will hopefully follow shortly.
