LEGO 43179 Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse VIP reward – Black Friday deals

LEGO.com has added new featured Black Friday rewards to the VIP centre, including 43179 Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.

The buildable Disney characters normally retail for £169.99. But if you head to the VIP Rewards Centre this morning, you can bag a copy for 20,000 VIP points. That’s equivalent to £125 in vouchers, marking a £45 saving on the RRP.

Of course, you’ll need to have racked up 20,000 points in the first place. Excluding any double points promos, that would require a £2,500 spend on LEGO.com. It’s not chump change, then, but if you do have the points to spare, an equivalent £45 discount on an exclusive LEGO set is probably the best value you’ll get out of them. (Unless you happen to win one of the frequent sweepstakes, that is.)

Today’s other featured rewards include 853967 Wooden Minifigure, which is still sold out, and a VIP Tote Bag, which can be yours for 1,600 points. And there’s still plenty of opportunity to stock up on half price art prints, colouring sheets and desktop wallpapers, if those are more your thing.

The VIP reward discounts will run through Monday, November 30. Given how quickly the Wooden Minifigure sold out, though, don’t expect 43179 Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse to hang around until then.

LEGO.com’s Black Friday offers include 20% off selected sets, a free 40410 Charles Dickens Tribute with a £150 / $150 spend, and the chance to earn 1,000,000 VIP pointsLEGO Creator Expert 10276 Colosseum is also available now, with a free Roman Chariot gift-with-purchase available for early adopters.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then. You can follow me on Twitter at @brfa_chris.
