LEGO Harry Potter is going to be back later this year, and superstar author J.K. Rowling has revealed one of her creations in its cute LEGO form.
When The Wizarding World of Harry Potter returns to the LEGO range later this year, sets will be based on material from across the franchise – the original Harry Potter stories and the new Fantastic Beast movies. The Niffler, the creature that had a prominent role in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, will be coming in one set – as revealed by J.K. Rowling on Twitter.
This delightful little fellow is likely to be one of many different beasts that will be fantastically represented in LEGO brick form, given the subject matter of the new films. When Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is released later this year, the stakes will be raised for reluctant hero Newt Scamander, and he may well need the help of his magical menagerie during the course of the film.
So far, 75954 Hogwarts Great Hall and Grindelwald’s Escape are the only two sets announced. Plenty more are rumoured though, including a line of Collectible Minifigures.
The LEGO Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme will launch on August 1. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will be released in cinemas on November 16.
