The LEGO Group has produced a new life-sized LEGO model of a Ferrari car for a new LEGOLAND California attraction.
Ferrari and the LEGO Group have been partners for some time, but this new LEGO model is still rather impressive. Recreating a Ferrari F40, the model uses more than 358,000 parts in its construction. It reportedly took its builders over 3,700 hours to develop and construct. The finished model weighs over 3,000 pounds, measures 14 feet long and more than six feet wide.
The model has been created for the park’s LEGO Ferrari Build and Race attraction. Visitors to the attraction can learn more about Ferrari’s history, build their own race car and try it out on various race tracks. They can also scan their creations into a virtual race track and compete against fellow visitors.

It appears that the model will be available for use in photo ops by park visitors. You’ll be able to sit inside the car and have your photo taken – a nice souvenir for any LEGO or Ferrari fans.
While this is clearly of greatest benefit to American LEGO fans, we’re still impressed by the scale of the model itself – even if the wheels don’t seem to be LEGO as well. LEGO Ferrari Build and Race will be open from May 12; entry to the attraction is included in the price of admission to the LEGOLAND California resort.
