First reviews of LEGO NINJAGO Season 15 sets land online

The first reviews of this summer’s LEGO NINJAGO sets are beginning to appear online, giving us a closer look at our heroes’ undersea escapades in the show’s 15th season.

As you might imagine from a season subtitled Seabound, the latest wave of NINJAGO sets takes Lloyd, Kai, Nya and co. beneath the surface of the ocean for Atlantis-esque adventures. Perhaps the most obvious set to take inspiration from that fabled city (and its accompanying LEGO theme in 2011) is 71755 Temple of the Endless Sea, a sprawling, location-based playset.

YouTuber just2good has managed to get his hands on an early copy of the set through Jedi News – presumably picked up from the same retailer that revealed the Marvel Infinity Saga sets earlier this month – and has now published a comprehensive review of the 1,060-piece model. And while he admits it wasn’t love at first sight, there are things to appreciate in 71755 Temple of the Endless Sea.

“I still don’t love this set, but it is much better in person,” Justin explains. “I think the main build, which is the temple, is okay – I love this main section, but then the rest seems too small for the price. I really wish they expanded upon it… But then the design of [sea serpent] Wojira is what really stands out for me. I like how poseable he is, I like how sturdy he is, and that’s just a very interesting colour scheme.”

Hit play on the video above to see Justin’s review in full. 71755 Temple of the Endless Sea will launch alongside the rest of the LEGO NINJAGO Seabound sets on June 1.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then. You can follow me on Twitter at @brfa_chris.
