The third 2021 LEGO Ideas review results announcement means it’s time to update the list of every LEGO Ideas set currently in production.
Since the June 2022 update, there have been two major changes to the ever-changing list of LEGO Ideas projects being transformed into official sets. For one, 21334 Jazz Quartet was officially revealed and released, removing it from this selection accordingly.
Aside from the musical model, there’s plenty to look forward to in the future of LEGO Ideas, and you can take a look at every upcoming build, with images of their initial fan designs, below.
The team at LEGO Ideas knew that this would be a future build before it made it into the third 2020 review. This creation from Sandro Quattrini offers a miniature lighthouse atop a cliff with moving elements – as you might have guessed by the name. Rumours suggest that it could launch in September 2022 for $300, though the source noted that this report may be affected by the upcoming price changes.
Coming from a coastal contest in 2021, Ray the Castaway is an upcoming LEGO Ideas GWP similar to 40533 Cosmic Cardboard Adventures, only instead of a child’s bedroom decorated with stars and a cardboard spaceship, it depicts a castaway on a small deserted island.
First announced at LEGO CON 2021, the upcoming Foosball Table build was also picked as a result of a LEGO Ideas contest. It didn’t appear again at LEGO CON 2022, so we’ll have to wait for more information on Donat Fehervari’s project in the meantime.
After being rejected multiple times in various forms, the office is finally getting an official LEGO set, joining the likes of 21328 Seinfeld, 21319 Central Perk and other LEGO Ideas sitcom sets. The approved iteration was created by Jaijai Lewis, but there may be a few changes in the final design.
Coming from the second 2021 review round is the A-Frame Cabin from Andrea Lattanzio. This build is one of the most detailed on the list, opting to show as few studs as possible and using plenty of hammers for the foundations of the cabin.
Just in case you still can’t believe it, a LEGO BTS set based on the South Korean band is currently in development based on the BTS “Dynamite” submission by JBBrickFanatic and BangtanBricks. It will join the growing list of musical LEGO models, of which LEGO Ideas has more than a few.
The latest entry into this list is Hocus Pocus – The Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage – Updated by Belgian fan designer Amber Veyt and selected from the third 2021 review round. This project is another that was initially rejected but had better luck after being submitted with a few updates. With a sequel to the initial film on the way later this year, you’ll one day be able to own the Sanderson Sisters as minifigures.
