Displaying minifigures with LEGO vignettes

A minifigure needs a good home – and a nice little LEGO vignette provides just that

Each year, the LEGO Group launches hundreds of new minifigures, with some of the most intricately designed new characters released as part of the LEGO Collectible Minifigures series. As Brick Fanatics readers know, this website advocates an 8×8 vignette as the perfect setting for an otherwise homeless minifigure.

Minifigures lined up in a row demonstrate quantity, but a LEGO setting really makes them pop. Once they are surrounded by other elements from the system, they seem right at home.

At first glance, coming up with a suitable setting might seem a little daunting. To make it seem a bit less intimidating, Brick Fanatics Magazine Issue 6 offers a simple build that is a perfect backdrop to any of the Disney Collectible Minifigures. For those ready for a further challenge, two bespoke vignettes are included for Aladdin and Ariel to demonstrate how relatively simply vignettes can be really effective.

For inspiration and instructions showing how to get started building LEGO vignettes for minifigures, order a copy of Brick Fanatics Magazine Issue 6.
