As the popular franchise returns to cinema screens this Summer, so it returns to the LEGO line-up too – Cars 3 is getting a range of eight sets as part of the LEGO Juniors theme. The Disney Pixar franchise had LEGO sets based on its last installment, and this image from Promobricks.de confirms its return. The sets should be expected around April/May 2017.
The display is part of the LEGO Group’s stand at the international toy fair in Germany. It is common practice for the company to use placeholder boxes when not ready to reveal a new line, and for the sake of variety these boxes have been blanked out white rather than grey.
Cars 3 is due for release June 16, 2017.
The rest of the LEGO Juniors range is comprised of CITY, Friends, Batman and Disney sets.
