Claim free LEGO VIP points with My Nintendo

Members of My Nintendo can currently claim 250 free LEGO VIP points through the new partnership between the LEGO Group and Nintendo’s loyalty programs.

To claim the free points – which can be spent on future purchases and exclusive rewards at LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores – all you need to do is create a My Nintendo account and redeem the reward by clicking here. You’ll then receive a code to be entered at LEGO.com.

Rewards through Nintendo’s online store typically cost gold or platinum points, which you can currently earn for free through the VIP Rewards Centre (synergy!), but the 250 free LEGO VIP points are available to claim for zero points of any kind.

It’s not a mind-blowing amount – 250 points is roughly equivalent to £1.56 when redeemed for rewards vouchers, or potentially more for physical and digital rewards with a higher value – but will take you halfway towards the new LEGO Luigi keychain, for instance. Plus, free is free!

Of course, you’ll also need to be a member of the LEGO Group’s loyalty program to take advantage, but chances are we’ve just described you anyway. If you’re somehow not a VIP member yet, head over to LEGO.com and sign up – it’s absolutely free, you’ll earn points on every purchase, and you’ll get a free blue VIP keyring just for joining.

Click here to check out the rest of the LEGO Super Mario rewards currently available across LEGO.com and Nintendo’s online store. The LEGO Group is also running a sweepstakes with a bumper Mario prize haul, including two exclusive keychains.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then. You can follow me on Twitter at @brfa_chris.
