Chronicle Books reveals new LEGO playing cards, puzzles and books

Chronicle Books has unveiled a new range of LEGO books and gifts for 2021, including a rainbow puzzle and brick-themed playing cards.

The publisher launched a wave of LEGO-inspired products in 2020, including books, jigsaw puzzles, postcards and notebooks. At least five more are set to arrive over the course of 2021, with three new books, one new puzzle and a double deck of playing cards joining Chronicle’s library of LEGO gear.

Those cards are probably the pick of the bunch, with a pair of colourful decks included in the pack. The back of each card features a LEGO brick pattern, while the jack, queen, king and joker card fronts bear minifigure-inspired artwork. You can pre-order them from Amazon now, ahead of their launch on April 15.

If you prefer your LEGO gifts hardbound, look out for The Secrets of LEGO House, which will be published on July 22, 2021. The 160-page book includes photos, interviews, essays and art from the LEGO archives, taking you on a virtual tour of the LEGO House. Given we’re seemingly all going to be in lockdown for the foreseeable future, it’s not a bad alternative to visiting for real.

Chronicle Books’ 2021 range also includes LEGO We Just Click: Little LEGO Love Stories, Instructions Included: A Little Life Advice from LEGO Minifigures, and a new Rainbow Bricks Puzzle. You can check out much of the current range here.

Support the work Brick Fanatics does by pre-ordering your Chronicle Books gifts using our Amazon links, and buying your LEGO sets using our affiliate links.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then. You can follow me on Twitter at @brfa_chris.
