CEO Niels B Christiansen appeared at the World Economic Forum in Davos and declared that children are the LEGO Group’s role models.
The CEO of the LEGO Group, Niels B Christiansen sat on a panel with other business leaders to discuss fostering creativity at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. “We take children as our role models, the way children act without any barriers,” Fast Company reports the LEGO leader as saying.
“We are very purpose-driven around that,” Christiansen said. “We create toys for people like us.” Others agreed with his thoughts, including Ideo CEO Tim Brown who highlighted the importance of “creative confidence”.
The Billund based company’s CEO also highlighted the changing nature of the job market and importance of new, adaptable skillsets. He said: “We don’t know 80% of the [future] job roles. I guarantee you they will have a bigger need for creativity.”
The World Economic Forum is an annual gathering that brings politicians, academics and business leaders together to discuss ideas and network.
