The UK’s newest LEGO Store, in Bristol’s Cabot Circus, is now officially open for business.
The store’s opening date was originally set for November, but the recent lockdown put paid to those plans. Fortunately, the move back to tiered restrictions has allowed non-essential retail to reopen. (We can’t believe the government classes LEGO as non-essential, either.)
That means the Bristol LEGO Store has now finally opened its doors to the public. Or some of the public, anyway – the region is currently in ‘tier 3’, which means only local LEGO fans are permitted to travel to the store.
However, that didn’t stop a socially-distant queue forming outside on opening day, as shoppers presumably sought to take advantage of the store’s stock levels. Most of the biggest and best LEGO sets are currently out of stock at LEGO.com, so heading into a store may unfortunately be your only option this Christmas.
“We are so excited to bring a whole new play experience to all budding builders in Bristol,” said Alison Wood of LEGO Stores UK when the location was first announced. “Whether you’re one or 100, there is something for you to get excited about – including the latest LEGO brick products and a range of exciting in-store play activities.”
