The Beaney in Canterbury, UK will host the LEGO exhibition Bricks Britannia: A History of Britain.
Bricks Britannia: A History of Britain will come to the Beaney in Canterbury, with 30 LEGO models representing iconic moments in British history. As its centrepiece, the displays will feature an eight foot long model of the Flying Scotsman that features light, sounds and smoke effects.
Covering history from the Stone Age to the 21st Century, more than 150,000 bricks are used in Bricks Britannia. The exhibit was developed and built by professional LEGO building company Bright Bricks.
As well as the models on display, visitors will be able to get creative with 70,000 loose LEGO bricks that will be on hand.
“LEGO is loved by kids – and much bigger kids – so this exhibition is one that’s not to be missed. And once you’ve marvelled at the incredible models on display, you can get cracking on making your own inspiring creations,” Chairman of Canterbury City Council’s Community Committee, Neil Baker said. “This is going to be a very popular event and early booking is recommended so you don’t miss out.”
Bricks Britannia: A History of Britain in LEGO Bricks opens at The Beaney on Saturday, February 9, running until Sunday, February 24.
