You can now book an extended (or even permanent) stay at LEGO for Adults 10297 Boutique Hotel, as the latest modular building is now available worldwide.
The second-largest modular building to date should be somewhere near the top of your January 1 list, not least because we don’t expect it to hang around on shelves for very long. At 3,066 pieces for £174.99 / $199.99 / €199.99, it feels pretty good value on balance, and delivers another beautifully unique building in this long-running series.
That’s not an easy task given this is the 17th entry in the Modular Buildings Collection, but it’s one designer Anderson Grubb has met head-on. And he’s also packed it with references to the previous 15 years of modulars, right back to 10182 Café Corner, so veterans of the subtheme should find plenty to keep them smiling throughout the build.
Whether you’re on the fence over ordering or just want something to read while waiting for your copy to arrive, check out our review of 10297 Boutique Hotel, eight of its best references (and four tenuous ones), a series of early prototype models and why its architectural similarities to 10182 Café Corner are apparently ‘just a coincidence’.
