Roads? Where we’re going, we don’t need roads. A fan-made Lego “Brick to the Future” short takes Marty McFly and Doc Brown to a futuristic version of the year 2015. Scooby-Doo, Doctor Who and many other geeky characters and items make cameos.
Cars are whizzing through the air in the futuristic year 2015 depicted in a new animated “Back to the Future” parody short from Lego filmmaker MonsieurCaron. Last year, he impressed us with his Lego “Ghostbusters” short.
His “Brick to the Future” short posted Sunday is just as impressive, with several characters and popular items from several geeky film and TV franchises making appearances.
Some of these are obvious, like Scooby-Doo and Shaggy in the Mystery Machine flying at the DeLorean, while others, like the Doctor’s Tardis and Nick Fury of Marvel cameos, require a watchful eye to spot.
There are at least 11 things to find in the clip, ranging from Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber and Captain America’s shield to Ant-Man, Rocket Raccoon and baby Groot.
The film was designed to celebrate “Back to the Future” day which is today October 21st, the day Marty McFly and Doc Brown arrived in the future in “Back to the Future II.”
