Now that 21058 Great Pyramid of Giza has proven that LEGO Architecture isn’t bound by time periods, there are plenty of other places for the theme to go next.
When 21058 Great Pyramid of Giza releases on June 1, it will be the first LEGO Architecture set to depict a monument as it was hundreds of years ago. It’s a new concept for Architecture and one that we think can be explored further by visiting locations new and old.
4 – Stonehenge
Stonehenge has yet to be recreated in LEGO officially, and an Architecture model dedicated to the site could include extra elements to depict it in both it’s ancient and current appearance. After all, you’d only need to remove and knock down a few brick-built columns to get from one to the other.
3 – Colosseum
We’ve already received a huge Colosseum creation in 10276 Colosseum, but LEGO Architecture could opt for a similar tactic to 21056 Taj Mahal and scale down the model, while also filling in the gaps of the ruined structure to represent it in ancient times.
2 – Chichen Itza
This one might be a bit too similar to 21058 Great Pyramid of Giza but that could provide an opportunity to have it attached to the existing set. For those who are not aware, 21058 Great Pyramid of Giza only depicts half the structure, so a Chichen Itza could do the same, and have them be displayable back-to-back to showcase the similar structures from different cultures.
1 – Acropolis
The hilltop Acropolis of Athens could make for an interesting LEGO Architecture set, combining natural designs with man-made buildings, showcasing the culture of this ancient civilisation.
